01What this page covers
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Local storage does a similar job. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) says a website must ask before it stores anything on your device that it does not strictly need. This page lists everything this site stores, and the privacy notice explains what happens to the data.
02Your choice
The first time you visit, we ask whether we can measure your visit. Accept and Reject are given equal weight, and nothing for analytics is stored or sent unless you accept. If you reject, we remove the analytics items from your browser.
03What we store

All of these are kept in your browser's local storage except the sign-in item, which is a cookie used only in the admin area.
04Page speed measurement
When this website runs on our live hosting, Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load. It sends anonymous performance figures to Vercel and stores nothing on your device, so it does not need your consent.
05Third-party cookies
We do not use advertising, social media buttons or other third-party tools that set their own cookies on our pages.
The one exception is optional. On our Live newspage, some stories include a video hosted by YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Instagram, X or Brightcove. Nothing from those services loads until you choose Load video; if you do, they may set their own cookies under their own policies. Story images on that page load from the publishers' own servers.
06Managing storage in your browser
You can also delete this website's data at any time in your browser's settings, usually under privacy or site data. If you do, the banner will ask you again on your next visit. Questions? Email hello@theaevionlabs.com.
