Company

Anthropic

Anthropic is a fit when the draft has to be cautious: policy, support, or long documents. We use Claude as a step, with a person at the end of it.

What it is

Anthropic is the AI lab that trains Claude. It was founded by people who left OpenAI, with a public emphasis on safety, constitutional training, and models that refuse more aggressively than the competition. Amazon and Google are major investors. The product is the model, the API, and claude.ai.

For a company, Anthropic is a vendor with a contract, usage limits, and a model family (Haiku, Sonnet, Opus) you pick against latency and cost. It is not a chatbot skin. It is a lab whose models you call from a product you still have to design.

What it does

Teams use Anthropic when they want Claude's writing, analysis, or computer-use features inside their own tools, or when procurement prefers Anthropic's terms to OpenAI's. Amazon Bedrock and Google Vertex both host Claude, so the model can sit in a cloud the company already bought.

We put Claude on a named step, with prompts in the repo and a fallback when the API fails. We do not swap the homepage for a chat window because the brief mentioned AI.

Why we use it

A careful model for work that has to stay accurate.

We pick a model for the task, not for the press release. Claude sits behind your API. If it is down, the product still works. Retrieval is over your CMS, with sources a person can open. You click the assist in the prototype and you can switch it off before launch.

Careful does not mean slow. It means the answer has a source.
