HTML5

If the HTML is wrong, no amount of React will save the page. We start with structure, landmarks, and forms a keyboard can finish.

What it is

HTML5 is the markup language of the web: the headings, buttons, forms, video, and structure a browser reads before it paints. It is not a brand you install. It is the document. Every site, including this one, is HTML by the time it reaches a person.

The HTML5 era named a set of capabilities the old web lacked: native video and audio, semantic elements, canvas, offline storage, geolocation. Those are now just the platform. Saying HTML5 still matters because accessibility, outline, and forms live or die in the markup, not in the CSS.

What it does

Teams use HTML to structure pages so search, screen readers, and browsers can read them. A design system that forgets the document becomes a pile of divs. Forms, landmarks, and headings are HTML work even when React is generating them.

We write semantic pages. Buttons are buttons. A heading rank matches the outline. We do not ship a canvas of divs and call it a site.

Why we use it

The document first. The framework second.

Semantic templates in Next.js. Forms that work before the script. CMS blocks that output honest HTML. Accessibility is in the original timeline, not a later audit that arrives after launch.

A button should be a button. A form should submit without a ceremony.
