OpenAI
OpenAI is one way to draft, classify, or retrieve. We put it behind a task your team already does, with logs and limits you can see.
What it is
OpenAI is the lab behind ChatGPT, the GPT models, DALL·E, Whisper, and the API that let other products call those models with a key. It started as a research organisation and became the company that put a chat box in front of a large language model and made the rest of the industry follow.
Microsoft is a major investor and ships OpenAI models through Azure. The consumer face is ChatGPT. The working face is an API, a project, usage logs, and a model name you can change when a better one ships.
What it does
Companies use OpenAI to draft, summarise, classify, transcribe, extract, and assist inside tools: a CMS, a support desk, a research inbox, a design critique. ChatGPT is how staff try the model. The API is how a product ships it without sending customers to chat.openai.com.
We wire it to a step that already exists in the work. Keys in your project. A cap on spend. A review screen so a person still sends the thing. A product that dies when OpenAI is down is the wrong product.
Why we use it
Language models used as a tool, not as the product story.
We prototype the interface first, then attach OpenAI where a first draft actually saves time. Content, keys, and prompts stay in your project. Review stays in the UI. You can turn the assist down in the preview before it goes into production.
A model call is a step in a journey. It is not the journey.
